Maria Muñoz, born and raised at the edge of Brussels, doing her thing since 1994.

Fascinated by her dad's old home video camera and thrilled by the magic of film, she decided to make some damn movies herself. One day she went from taking still pictures to shooting moving pictures , and that was surprisingly fun.

The full blood Spanish Maria graduated with a bachelor's degree in TV-FILM-VIDEO from LUCA School of Arts (campus Narafi) in 2018, and immediately took a big dive in the audiovisual world by becoming independent. Her business 'Moonz Content' is named after her family name 'Muñoz' and 'Moon'. The reason for this combination is the gender of the moon. The moon is feminine, and Maria would like to make a stamp one day as 'this female Director of Photography', to encourage girls and young women to follow their dreams.

Her heart sticks to camerawork for music videoclips but nonetheless she adores the world of commercials, fiction, fashion and documentary.

Maria fully enjoys being creative with cinematography and the art of visualising stories and emotions. By choice she would like to combine her video work with her other passions like traveling and music (of course)!

Besides her job as a camerawoman, Maria works on a freelance basis as a location hunter via The View, a location hunters collective with a very good reputation and a large record of achievements. She also used to be a Lumix Ambassador and gave masterclasses about their new cameras.

In the summer of 2021, Maria became an official drone pilot and obtained her A1/A3 licence. She is currently taking practical lessons to obtain her A2 licence, which will allow her to carry out more difficult flights. She also has always been a photography enthusiast and started doing this on a professional level as well.
